Ieuter Insurance Group presents our Team Awesome Awards at the close of the year, celebrating the contributions of our amazing team members throughout the year. These awards are incredibly meaningful to their recipients because they are a peer-nominated recognition.
Today, we'll meet Samantha Gault, who earned the 2025 Innovative Thinker Award. Samantha's colleagues credited her as the team member whose creativity and problem-solving skills had the most game-changing impact in our workplace. Here's a few things they had to say:
-Samantha continuously looks for better ways to improve processes for the commercial lines team and the office, always finding new methods to streamline efficiency and simplify workflows
-She keeps communication warm and personal—even through emails or texts—and is always accessible and ready to help, making problem-solving quick and stress-free.
-She's always willing to assist with any issue, ensuring support is readily available.
-She demonstrates impressive growth in the role and consistently strives to keep clients satisfied.
We asked Samantha a few questions about her experience in the insurance field and what this award means to her. Here's what she had to say:
Q: What did it mean to you that your colleagues consider you one of the top problem-solvers on the team?
A: It honestly meant a lot to me. Hearing that my colleagues see me as one of the top problem‑solvers on the team feels really meaningful, not just because of the recognition itself, but because it came from the people I work alongside every day. It tells me that the way I show up—trying to stay steady, supportive, and solution‑oriented—is actually making a difference for others.
It’s really humbling, too. I don’t see myself as someone with all the answers, but I do care deeply about helping the team move forward and making things easier wherever I can. Knowing my teammates feel they can rely on me is something I truly value, and it motivates me to keep bringing that same level of effort and heart into everything I do.
Q: What is the innovation or solution you're most proud of coming up with at work?
The innovation I’m most proud of is how I’ve integrated AI tools into my daily workflow and then shared those processes with my teammates. It started with looking for ways to streamline routine tasks so I could focus more on the parts of the job that really need human attention—like problem‑solving, client communication, and supporting the team.
As I found things that genuinely made my day easier—whether it was automating repetitive steps, organizing information more efficiently, or improving the way I draft client‑ready content—I made a point to share those tools and tips with others. Seeing those solutions not only help me, but also empower my teammates to work more efficiently, feels incredibly rewarding.
To me, innovation isn’t always about big, dramatic changes. Sometimes it’s about consistently finding small improvements, testing new ideas, and helping others benefit from them. That’s what makes this something I’m truly proud of.
Q: Why has it been important to you to stay a student and keep up on new technologies and changes in the insurance field?
It’s important for me to stay a student because the insurance industry changes quickly, and keeping up with new technology helps me work smarter, stay adaptable, and support my clients and team with the most current knowledge.
Q: What do you love most about being a part of #TeamIeuter?
What I love most about being part of #TeamIeuter is the sense of family and support that comes with it. It’s rare to work in a place where people genuinely care about each other’s success and are willing to step in, share knowledge, and lift each other up without hesitation. I feel valued here—not just for the work I do, but for who I am as a person.
Being surrounded by teammates who are kind, collaborative, and committed to doing the right thing makes every day feel meaningful. It’s that combination of trust, teamwork, and genuine connection that makes me proud to be part of this team.
Q: What things do you wish more people realized about insurance:
I wish more people realized how important it is to understand their insurance before a claim happens. Too often, people assume they’re fully covered, only to find out during a loss that something wasn’t included, the deductible is higher than expected, or certain situations weren’t covered at all.
I wish more people knew:
Insurance isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all—policies need to reflect their real risks and lifestyle.
Cheaper isn’t always better—saving money upfront can mean paying much more after a loss.
Coverage details really matter—small wording differences can dramatically affect claims.
Asking questions is a good thing—the more we know about their needs, the better we can protect them.
Keeping policies updated is essential—life changes, businesses grow, and insurance has to grow with it.
At the end of the day, I just want people to feel protected, not blindsided. Understanding their coverage ahead of time makes all the difference when something unexpected happens.
Q: How often do you recommend clients reconnect with their agent to go over their coverage?
I recommend clients reconnect with their agent once a year for a coverage review, and anytime a major change happens—like buying or selling a home or vehicle, renovating, or experiencing a big life event. Regular check‑ins help keep coverage accurate and prevent surprises at claim time.
Q: The team at Ieuter participates in a lot of community events. What's your favorite way to give back with your coworkers?
My favorite way to give back with my coworkers is through our Non‑Profit Spotlight Articles in the Midland Daily News. I love that something so simple can make such a meaningful impact. Highlighting these organizations helps get their name in front of people who may truly need their services—or who want to support them but may not have known they existed.
Q: What are your favorite places to go and things to do when you're not at work?
When I’m not at work, some of my favorite things to do are simple, relaxing moments that help me recharge. I love taking walks in downtown Midland on my lunch breaks—it’s such a peaceful way to reset in the middle of the day. Outside of work, I really enjoy spending time with my husband and our three kids.
I also love doing Pilates and yoga with my youngest and with friends; it’s a great mix of movement, connection, and fun. And when I really want to unwind, nothing beats curling up with a good book and getting lost in it for a while.
