Ieuter Insurance Group presents our Team Awesome Awards at the close of the year, celebrating the contributions of our amazing team members throughout the year. These awards are incredibly meaningful to their recipients because they are a peer-nominated recognition.
Today, we introduce you to Nicole Northard, recipient of the 2025 Kim Mayhew Award, named in honor of a deeply missed colleague and treasured friend who brought a joyful attitude to her work at Ieuter Insurance Group for decades. The award is given to the teammate whose coworkers consider the friendliest employee or the employee who exemplifies the most positive attitude.

We asked Nicole what this award means to her, what she loves about her work, and what she loves to do when she’s not in the office. Here’s what she had to say:
Q: What did it mean to you to hear that your colleagues found you the friendliest member of the team and to receive an award named after someone who your colleagues so deeply respected?
A: I was pleasantly surprised. It means the little things I do matter. We spend a lot of time together, and it's important to me to have positive interactions. Kim Mayhew is dearly missed by those who knew her. She is remembered for her kindness and positivity and was appreciated by all.
Q: Tell us about your history in the insurance field:
A: I have had no previous experience in the insurance field before joining the agency in late 2024. Because of a great training program and the knowledgeable team, I have been able to learn something new just about every day. My coworkers have been so helpful in getting me up to speed on the insurance business ins and outs, and I’m glad they see their efforts are paying off. I love to learn new things and I am fortunate to have people around me who are willing to share their knowledge.
Q: What do you love most about being a part of #TeamIeuter? The Ieuter team is amazing! I feel appreciated and very much a part of the big picture. We work hard and most days are quite busy, but we also take time to have fun. Add in the team Christmas party, potlucks, and friendly co-workers -- this is a great place to work.
Q: What things do you wish more people realized about insurance? Paying insurance seems unnecessary until you need it. Not having to utilize your insurance is a good thing, and I would love to go my entire life never having to file a claim, but just knowing that I am protected should something happen gives me piece of mind.
Q: What brings you the most joy when you're not at work? Being a Grammy. I love the whole experience of seeing my child’s child grow into an amazing human being and teaching her kindness and appreciation for the little things in life.
