All You Ever Wanted to Know About Insurance

Meet Rockstar Rookie Award-Winner Paige McCollister

Ieuter Insurance Group presents our Team Awesome Awards at the close of the year, celebrating the contributions of our amazing team members throughout the year. These awards are incredibly meaningful to their recipients because they are a peer-nominated recognition.

Today, we introduce you to Paige McCollister, who won our award devoted to a newcomer to our business or someone who changed roles who energetically engaged in their new role and took to their position better than most do. Paige started at Ieuter as a co-op when she was in high school and moved up to serving as an intern, and then as a member of our commercial lines team while she was in college, and was promoted into the role of New Business Coordinator in June of 2025.

Here's what a few of Paige's peers had to say when they nominated her for this recognition:

-Paige has taken on (her) new role with confidence and continues to excel every day.

-She demonstrates deep knowledge and professionalism when working with clients.

-Paige embraces responsibilities with positivity and dedication, putting in extra effort and hours to stay ahead and succeed.

-Paige is a true team player with a bright future.

-She performs exceptionally well, consistently staying on top of tasks and turning work around quickly.

-Paige approaches challenges with enthusiasm and consistently delivers outstanding results—truly knocking it out of the park.

-She demonstrates excellence in every aspect of her new role, adapting quickly and performing at a high level.

-She builds strong client relationships and willingly supports teammates when needed, ensuring smooth operations.

We asked her what it meant to hear these commendations from her colleagues, what she loves about her work, what she wishes more people knew about insurance, and what she loves to do when she's not at work. Here's what she had to say:

Q: What did it mean to you to hear how impressed your colleagues are with your work, and how well you've adapted to your new role?

Hearing that meant a great deal to me. It was validating to know that the effort I put into learning the role, asking questions, and staying adaptable was visible and appreciated. It gave me confidence that I’m on the right track, especially during a period of change, and reinforced my sense of belonging on the team. At the same time, it motivated me to keep learning and contributing at a high level, because the trust and recognition of my team matters to me

Q: Tell us about your history at Ieuter:

I started working at Ieuter when I was 17 and a junior in high school. I worked every day after school then became a co-op my senior year. From that point I worked as an intern on the personal lines team till 2024 when I made the switch to commercial lines. I started off as a processor assisting the account managers and learning the ropes on the commercial side. After graduating from Northwood University last spring, I took on the role of New Business Coordinator for the commercial lines team. I am thoroughly enjoying my new role!

Q: What do you love most about your new position?

What I love most about my new position is being part of the sales team and getting to work on proposals that directly help us win new accounts. It’s exciting to see the full process come together—from learning about local establishments in our community to tailoring solutions that truly fit their needs. I really enjoy building that knowledge of the community and knowing my work has a direct impact on our growth and relationships.

Q: What do you love most about being a part of #TeamIeuter?

What I love most about being part of #TeamIeuter is the strong sense of community. Everyone is genuinely friendly and supportive, and there’s a real culture of celebrating wins—both individually and as a team. It feels great to work in an environment where people lift each other up and success is shared, which makes coming to work motivating and rewarding.

Q: What things do you wish more people realized about insurance?

I wish more people realized that insurance isn’t just a formality—it’s something that needs to be intentional and regularly reviewed before a loss ever happens. One big thing that I think often gets overlooked is the importance of annual reviews. It is important to check in with your producer or account manager annually to ensure there have been no changes within your business operations or exposures, ensuring you are covered properly in the event of a loss.

Q: What brings you the most joy when you're not at work?

What brings me the most joy when I’m not at work is spending time with my dogs, Max and Hazel, my horse, Jolene, and my family. I really enjoy being outside—whether it’s just getting fresh air, being with the animals, or sharing time with the people I care about. Those moments help me recharge and keep me grounded.
